President of ECOVIS International visits our Almaty office

On __ДАТА__, the ECOVIS Kazakhstan office in Almaty welcomed Kay Friedrich Thomsen, President of ECOVIS International, and Hai Nhat Nguyen, Board Assistant and Expansion Manager.

The business part of the visit took place at our office. The discussion covered the development of the audit and tax practice in Kazakhstan, work with companies registered at the Astana International Financial Centre, and joint projects with network offices in other countries.

What this means for our clients

• cross-border projects handled within the network, without a chain of intermediaries;
• shared practice in IFRS, ISA and international taxation;
• Kazakhstan’s participation in ECOVIS regional initiatives.

Kazakhstan remains the entry point for foreign business into Central Asia, and demand for reporting to international standards keeps growing. A visit at this level confirms that the network sees the region as a priority.

After the meetings our guests saw something of the city: lunch in the mountains and a trip to Shymbulak. The mountains start half an hour from the office, and showing them turned out to be easier than describing them.

ECOVIS International brings together more than 19,000 professionals in over 90 countries. ECOVIS Kazakhstan has been a member of the network since 2 July 2026.
